Central California Chapter

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 12:10 PM on Thursday September 21, 2006 at Ricky’s Restaurant in San Leandro, CA. by Marty Cooper, Chapter Chairman, of the Central California Chapter of IAPMO.  .

 

Introductions

Marty Cooper, Chapter Chairman, welcomed the 15 members to the meeting. Self-introductions followed general networking by the attendees.

 

Chapter Officers present were Chapter Chairman, Marty Cooper, Vice Chairman, David Ledda, Chapter Treasury, Sarah Aguilar and Chapter Secretary, Nathan Vasquez.

 

Committee Reports

Sarah Aguilar gave the Treasury Report.

Don Taylor gave the Web Site Report. The members decided on two months previous months’ minutes should be posted on the web site.. Nathan Vasquez will inquire about the pictures from the AB&I Tour to  post them on the web site. Marty Cooper thanked Bob Adler for sponsoring the web site last month.   

 

Old Business

The minutes from the previous meeting were reviewed and accepted by members present.

Marty Cooper is in contact with CLSB speaker Ricardo Lopez to speak at a future date.

 

 

New Business

David Ledda spoke on the Annual Officers Installation and Social Event. The Event will take place on January 27, 2007 at Crystal Springs Golf Club in Burlingame, CA.   Don Taylor of Dittmann Plumbing Co. Inc. spoke on a new valve from Watts that is a alternate Temperature & Relief for the Water Heater. Marty Cooper spoke on the 2006 IAPMO Annual Conference and Events.

Presentation

Phil Ribbs went over his Western Pipe Trades Educational Seminar that he will be presenting at the 2006 IAPMO Annual Conference; The Chapter would like to thank Phil for his presentation.

 

 

Raffle

The chapter would like to thank IAPMO for the donations.

 

Announcements

·        The Chapter would like to thank Sarah Aguilar with Southland Industries and John Wagner with the Tile and Stone Council of Northern California for their generous donations.

·        The next meeting will be at Waterfront Restaurant in Redwood City on October 19, 2006. Program: Mr. Joel Strehle of Kliman Sales on excess flow devices

·        The EXPO 2006 will be on October 5th at the Local 393 Pipe Trades Training Center.

·        Please bring a door prize for a raffle next month.
