Meeting Minutes

Call to Order

Meeting was called to order at Piacere’s restaurant in San Carlos at 12:08 pm on Thursday August 18, 2011 by Chairman Mo Salberg.

Introductions

Self introductions were performed and 12 people were in attendance including Chairman Mo Salberg, Treasurer Joe Aiello, and Secretary Don Taylor.

Old Business

July 2011 meeting minutes were approved as written.

Chapter membership is growing and we are currently in 3^rd place in the IAPMO membership drive.

Announcements

Next meeting will be on Thursday September 15, 2011 at Ricky’s in San Leandro CA. at 11:30 am. Dawn Anderson will speak on seismic upgrades at hospitals.

October 20, 2011 CCCIAPMO Chapter golf tournament at Los Lagos

Annual IAPMO conference September 26-29, 2011 in San Antonio, TX

GBA golf tournament Friday August 26, 2011 at 12:30 pm @ The Links at Half Moon Bay.

New Business

Marty Cooper gave update on pending legislation in California. AB 19, AB275, AB 849.

Lunch

Lunch was served buffet style.

Presentation

Bill Reilly from Pace Supply talked on dualarm pumps from Armstrong and boiler clean air requirements. January 1, 2013, boilers 2 million BTU’S and larger must be low knox if older than 10 years old. 2015 boilers 400,000 BTU’S must be low knox.

Raffle

Tickets were drawn and prizes awarded. Special thanks to the raffle prize contributors: Sarah Aguilar & Southland Industries and Local 393, and IAPMO.
