CENTRAL CALIFORNIA CHAPTER
The annual Officers Installation and Social Event
for the Central California Chapter of IAPMO was held on Saturday January 28th at
the beautiful Crystal Springs Golf Club in Burlingame, CA. The room was
beautifully decorated with Silver Star balloons held up by black balloons to
give the elusion that the stars where floating and the center pieces of floating
candles with little silver stars dressed up the tables perfectly.

Over 85 guests attended. The members and their families who took part in the
events of the evening continue to strengthen our connections and our future in
this important industry and the principal roles we serve and perform.
All enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres which were passed around during the, 1 1/2
hour hosted reception before the dinner. There was much discussion among old
friends and associates about IAPMO and its future in the world. The background
music of old favorites by “Pacific Entertainment, Mr. Anthony.” was enjoyed by
all during the cocktail hour, dinner and the raffle. A delicious beef or chicken
dinner was enjoyed by all the guests.
We especially thank Dwight Perkins for his visit and for officiating the
Officer’s Installation program. Dwight is the Northwest Regional Manager for
IAPMO International Headquarters Office. Dwight gave us all an update on the
adoption of the 2003 code and the 2006 code.
The Installation ceremony started with John Wager leading those present in the
Pledge of Allegiance; introduced attending Chapter Past Presidents and asked for
a moment of silence in respect for the memory of Rick Keer.

year of hard work and commitment: Chapter Chairman - John Wagner, Executive
Director of Tile & Stone Council of Northern California Chapter; Vice-Chairman

for their dedication and hard work during the year. Tony was surprised and asked
his wife if she new about this award, she said no. Tony went on to say that the

We thank these and any others who may have been missed for their support.
We had a great time with the raffle as we had a lot to pick from gift
certificates, wine and spirits. The DJ got into it with the music and sound
effects which in turn got everybody excited for the next winner. We all rounded
out the evening with some dancing to some oldies but goodies.
Pictures were taken throughout the evening by the new secretary, Nathan Vasquez,
which will be posted on the website.
I would like to thank everyone for participating in making this a memorable and
very enjoyable occasion. We look forward to seeing all of you at the upcoming
monthly meetings and conferences.
