Call to Order
The meeting was called to
order at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday June 17, 2010 at Piacere in
Introductions
Self-introductions followed and there were 19 in attendance. Chapter Officers present were Don Wadsworth – Chairman, Mo Salberg – Vice Chairman, Steve Silber - Treasurer and Joseph Aiello – Secretary.
Old Business
Approval of Minutes for April 2010.
Steve Silber gave the treasury report and it was approved unanimously.
New Business
There was no new business.
Discussion
Phil Ribbs reported on the Technical Committee meetings, highlighting some of the proposed changes to the Uniform Plumbing Code.
Phil also briefed the group on the Western States
Pipe Trades meetings in
Mr. Ribbs further informed those in attendance of the Building Standards Commissions’ reverse decision regarding PEX, based on the results of the E.I.R.
There was also a brief discussion regarding ASSE 5000.
Break for Lunch
Presentation
Tom Corsentino (Zurn) gave a unique and thought provoking presentation featuring topics including AB 1953 (Lead Free), (CBC) Ch. 1115B.4.4.7 and the 2010 California “Green Building” Standards Code, it’s projected effect on Manufacturing, specifically with regard to the consideration of advancing technologies.

Chapter Chairman Don Wadsworth adjourned the meeting at 1:45 PM.
