CENTRAL CALIFORNIA CHAPTER

Call to Order

Called to order at 12:05pm on Thursday April 20, 2006 at Waterfront Restaurant in Redwood City, CA by David Ledda, Chapter Vice-Chairman of the Central California Chapter of IAPMO.

Introductions

There were 17 attendees. Chapter Officers present were _David Ledda, Vice Chairman, Sarah Aguilar, Treasury, and Nathan Vasquez, Secretary.

Gene Sheffield will be speaking next month due to family emergency.

Old Business

Minutes for previous month were approved.

Treasury Report given by Sarah Aguilar.

California Building Standards Commission – Bob Adler spoke on the progress of the Commission regarding Code adoption.

Committee Reports

none.

New Business

Bob Adler spoke on a new section in the 2006 UPC.

Discussion

Dan Shea brought up Island /Peninsula ranges and cooktops about their clearances from combustibles.

Break for Lunch

Presentation

Dan Shea gave a presentation on Excess flow valves for gas to commemorate the San Francisco Earthquake’s Centennial.

Raffle

We did have a raffle and the Chapter would like to thank Marty Cooper & Nathan Vasquez for there donations.

Announcements

The next meeting will be on May 18, 2006 at Ricky’s Restaurant in San Leandro, CA. Program: Gene Sheffield will be speaking.
The June 15 meeting will feature Mr. Dwayne Cox of Allied Utility Products.
The new City & County of San Francisco Chief Plumbing Inspector is Bob Farrow.
The Chapter would like to thank Sarah Aguilar with Southland Industries and Phil Ribbs with PHR Consultants for their generous donation.

Vice-Chairman David Ledda adjourned the meeting at 1:38 PM
